TOA N-8600MS Y IP Multifunctional Master Intercom Station

The TOA N-8600MS Y is a professional IP multifunctional master station designed for facility-wide intercom systems in installations such as corporate campuses, healthcare environments, education facilities, and broadcast or production complexes. Using packet audio technology over standard IP networks, it enables high-quality, low-latency voice communication between the master station and remote intercom stations connected through an IP Intercom Exchange, or directly between multiple N-8600MS units across a LAN or WAN.

For systems integrators and AV professionals, the N-8600MS Y delivers the flexibility of both unicast and multicast paging, supporting up to 16 unicast and 191 multicast destinations per session. The built-in auto-dialer enables one-touch dialing for rapid response in time-sensitive environments, while the alphanumeric LCD provides caller identification and status at a glance. The station operates in hands-free or handset mode, and dedicated headset and external speaker terminals extend coverage to larger rooms or operator positions without additional amplification hardware.

Power is supplied via any IEEE 802.3af-compliant PoE switch, eliminating the need for local AC adapters in most deployments and simplifying cable runs. For installations where PoE is unavailable, the optional AD-1215P AC adapter provides an alternative. The desk or surface-mount form factor suits front-of-house, reception, or control room placement, and an optional YC-280 wall bracket accommodates wall-mount needs. Sub-band ADPCM encoding with cryptosystem support and voice packet loss recovery ensures reliable, intelligible audio even on congested networks.
