Novation AMS-LAUNCHKEY-88-MK4 88-Key Semi-Weighted MIDI Controller

The Novation AMS-LAUNCHKEY-88-MK4 is built for producers and keyboardists who need a full-span 88-key controller without sacrificing DAW workflow speed. The semi-weighted piano-style keybed delivers the feel required for expressive melodic and harmonic performance, while dedicated custom DAW scripts provide hands-on control over Ableton Live 11 or later, Logic X and 11, Cubase 11 and 12, Reason Studios, FL Studio, and Ardour. For any other host, HUI compatibility keeps it functional without mapping from scratch.

The controller addresses both performance and composition workflows in one unit. Scale Mode with 30 built-in scales, Chord Map, Fixed Chord, and User Chord modes reduce the cognitive load during songwriting sessions. A generative arpeggiator with a step editor and layered Zone support for Parts A and B, Split, and Layer expand the Launchkey 88 Mk4 well beyond basic MIDI input. The 128x64 monochrome OLED display gives real-time feedback on mode selection, keeping the signal chain transparent during fast creative sessions.

For studio integrators and live production setups requiring a compact footprint per key count, the USB-C bus-powered design removes the need for an external power supply. A dedicated 5-pin MIDI output, sustain pedal input, and Kensington security slot add the utility expected in installed or touring keyboard rigs. The included pro-grade software bundle extends immediate value beyond the hardware for producers setting up a new workstation.
